American Market Access, founded in February, 2000, is a firm dedicated to the business of international economic development. It's founder, John D. McCahill, has extensive experience in business development, investment promotion and supporting both economic development agencies and individual companies in achieving success in accessing new markets.

Having served as Manager of Inward Investment for the State of New Jersey and Director of the public/private partnership Tradelink New Jersey before establishing AMA, he is well familiar with the process of attracting Foreign Direct Investment.

As a result of 16 years of international economic development work, Mr. McCahill has considerable experience in identifying and pursuing leads, organizing investment and trade show missions, arranging and hosting visiting delegation visits, as well as individual company visits.

Mr. McCahill has traveled extensively in Europe and is conversant in German. He has also attended, exhibited at, or led Missions to numerous trade shows in Hannover, Düsseldorf, Cologne, Stuttgart and Munich, including the Hannover Industrial Show, CeBit, Medica, Ligna and ExpoReal, and many others.
